Anastasha Earl. PhD, MS, NCC
Psychotherapist
Dr. Anastasha Earl has felt calling to be a helper since she was young, but she wasn’t sure how that would look. Upon prayerfully enrolling in Saint Vincent College, she knew that the mental health field was where she needed to go. Ana graduated with a bachelor’s degree from SVC’s psychological science program in 2012, with an addictions specialist certificate. Then in 2018, she graduated with as a master of science in clinical mental health counseling. Upon entering the field, though, she saw that there were additional ways she could positively affect those around her, and decided to go back to complete her doctorate of philosophy in counselor education and supervision to also help teach the next generation of therapists. She graduated as “Dr. Ana” in 2024.
Ana is very excited to maintain a clinical practice at Rooted in Healing while also teaching in a master’s-level counseling program. She considers herself an “existential, systems-based” therapist, which means that she is happy to include anything that brings meaning to her clients—from faith, to friends and family, to even your favorite fandoms—in their sessions. She takes a positive, strengths-based approach to counseling.
Ana has experience treating a wide range of difficulties including: stress and adjustment disorders, anxiety, trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, issues surrounding neurodiversity (like ADHD and ASD), and addiction and co-occurring disorders. She in particular specializes in relationship difficulties, issues surrounding higher education and graduate students, burnout and occupational wellness, and issues surrounding motherhood and women’s wellbeing.
When Ana isn’t doing work in the counseling field, she’s most likely to be reading a fantasy novel, making a charcuterie board, or spending time outside with her husband and her dog. She lives in the South Hill, in the Greater Pittsburgh region.
